Job Description:
- Support the Group and Asia region's purchasing strategy in Asia, be responsible for the development and management of raw materials and/or suppliers in the region.
- Negotiates with vendors for goods and services, negotiating the best possible price and service guarantee.
- Establishes account/credit and terms (set up agreements with vendors).
- Submit the action plans to the Asia Purchasing Manager for the purchase families under her/his responsibility in order to achieve the QCD/CRP objectives.
Qualifications:
1. More than 5 years of experience in manufacturing procurement, familiar with plastic or textile related raw materials.
2. Bachelor degree or above.
3. English could be used as a working language.
4. Good negotiation and coordination skills, strong team spirit.
5. Highly self- motivated and professional ethics.
6. Be able to travel domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities:
1. Locally source and identify new suppliers that align with global and/or regional strategies.
2. Prospect for suppliers, analyze the consistency of their proposals in terms of technical and economical aspects and see if they align with the company's needs.
3. Consult suppliers for new materials or components following the purchasing policies.
4. Manage/drive the relationships with suppliers in serial life, negotiate the conditions on all purchased items.
5. Assist Asia Purchasing Manager in analyzing costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and contributing to overall cost-effectiveness and Communicate to plants sourcing strategies, pricing, and market conditions impacting raw material supply.
6. Develop and implement sourcing strategies and plans with Asian local plants as part of the Regional Purchasing Team.
7. Assist the group purchasing team in managing procurement activities with suppliers in Asia region.
8. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate product offerings, and stay informed about industry trends.
9. Ensure compliance with department policies, procedures and applicable laws, rules and regulations.
